Karl-Henry Francois joined Eastern Bank in June as senior vice president and commercial banking relationship manager. He has over 20 years of experience in banking and 18 years of experience delivering a broad range of lending solutions for middle market commercial businesses.

“Karl-Henry Francois brings a strong background in serving the credit, refinancing and overall lending and financing needs of middle market companies, and we are excited to welcome him to Eastern Bank’s commercial banking team,” Greg Buscone, executive vice president and chief commercial banking officer of Eastern Bank, said in a press release.

With over two decades of experience in middle market commercial banking, Francois has specialized in financial restructuring, debt refinancing and underwriting for businesses that are privately held, sponsor-owned and publicly traded. He previously served as senior vice president and relationship manager at Citizens Financial Group.

Francois’ skills encompass industries like food and beverage, paper and packaging, transportation and manufacturing. He has handled customized financial solutions for loan products, treasury management, hedging strategies and debt capital markets, while also playing an essential role in accelerating the growth and stability of different businesses.

“I am honored to join Eastern Bank’s commercial lending team, and to help middle market companies across our region achieve their business goals,” said Francois.

Francois obtained his Bachelor of Arts from Suffolk University and earned his MBA at Bentley University, with a concentration in finance. Right now, he serves on the board of directors of Bridgewell, a nonprofit organization that aims to help people who experience intellectual, developmental, psychiatric and physical challenges, as well as the board at the New England Human Services Collaborative (NEHSCO).
