It’s the most delicious time of the year again — Dine Out Boston returns this weekend bringing limited edition prix fixe menus to some of
Boston’s most exciting restaurants.

Presented by Meet Boston  in partnership with the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism, Dine Out Boston is a two-week program during which participating restaurants offer special, coursed lunch and dinner menus at discounted prices. A three-course lunch ranges from $27-$36 and a three-course dinner ranges from $41-$55 per person. More than 175 restaurants in Boston’s 23 neighborhoods (and some in Cambridge) are participating.

“Summer is the perfect time to get out and enjoy specially priced menus in Greater Boston across a variety of cuisines, from Asian or Latin fare to French, Italian, seafood, tapas and sushi,” said Martha J. Sheridan, president and CEO of Meet Boston. “Pair your Dine Out meal with a concert, baseball game, museum visit or an outdoor attraction.”

For restaurants, the stakes feel especially high this year with the Michelin Guide’s verdict on the local dining scene pending. Though the Michelin determinations won’t be made until later in the year, Boston has received other accolades for its food scene. This year Boston was named the sixth best food destination in the United States by TripAdvisor. Boston-area chefs and restaurants are regularly nominated at the James Beard Awards and Sullivan’s Castle Island was awarded the American Classics designation for 2025.

In addition to enjoying the local restaurant scene, diners can bid in an online auction for restaurant gift certificates. Proceeds from the auction benefit City Strings United, a Roxbury-based youth music group; and Community Work Services, an organization that connects candidates from underserved communities with work and training opportunities in the hospitality industry.

Several Black-owned restaurants are participating in Dine Out Boston this year, including Park 54 in Hyde Park, which features catfish strips, red snapper and peach cobbler on their Dine Out menu; and Mida, which offers Italian dishes like zesty green pea and ricotta crostini and squash risotto.

Dorchester is also represented with Bangladeshi dishes at Shanti, waterfront Italian at Venezia and savory Japanese BBQ at Gyu-Kaku.

Dine Out Boston runs August 3-16 at participating restaurants. Information about each restaurant’s menu and whether they’re offering lunch, dinner or both can be found on the Meet Boston website. Bon appetite!
