Anthony Williams’s “Urban Nutcracker” opens on the rowhouse streets of Boston with the iconic Citgo sign in the background and a cast of more than 150 mostly local performers. The reimagining of a classic tale on the streets of our city has been warming hearts in Boston for nearly 25 years. 

’Tis the season for merriment, and for holiday performances. “Urban Nutcracker,” the beloved diverse and Boston-centric version of the classic ballet, will return to the stage this winter season.

Anthony Williams’ “Urban Nutcracker,” a holiday tradition sparkling with city pride, returns to the stage Dec. 17–23 at the Boch Center Shubert Theatre.
