The Park School

At Park, we intentionally call Grades 5 through 8 the “Upper Division.” Unlike at schools where the spotlight shines mainly on the efforts of high school students, students in Park’s Grades 5-8 are the leaders of the school – growing in confidence and accomplishment, finding joy in challenge.

The leaders of the two boards that guide The Park School, the Board of Trustees and the Parents’ Association (PA) Executive Board, have a lot in common: they are both Dorchester residents who love their community, Black mothers who want the best for their children, and great believers in what The Park School experience means to their family. 

When families ask if Park is a place they would belong, I tell them Park is for people who believe that educational excellence, inclusivity and belonging, and social-emotional learning are equally important, no matter who we are or where we come from.
