Every March for nearly forty years, we as a nation have come together to honor the achievements and contributions of women in American history with the annual celebration of Women’s History Month.

When was the last time we truly examined the state of our education system? After all, it shapes our children into future leaders, thinkers, and innovators. But, are we really preparing them for the complex world ahead?

Each year when the calendar flips to February, we as a nation train our collective focus on the stories of Black people in American history, highlighting some of the myriad achievements, accomplishments and contributions we’ve made, indispensable fibers woven into the great tapestry that is the United States

Our way of life, with its generally accepted societal norms and expectations, has been stressed and strained unlike that of any other time in recent history, resulting in a spreading anxiety and uncertainty about what our collective and individual short- and long-term futures have in store.

“TO THE VICTOR BELONG THE SPOILS OF THE ENEMY” This quote, or at least some paraphrased version of it, has passed through the mouths, pens, keyboards and camera lenses of millions of people from nearly every position and profession for literal centuries since it was coined some 213 years ago.
