Rahsaan Hall

Juneteenth marks our country’s second Independence Day. That fact in itself calls on us to remember, reflect, and recommit to the principles of our democracy - liberty and justice for all - but ones that we have never fully embodied.

For the past year, Rahsaan D. Hall has been transitioning from advocating for people whose civil rights have been violated to overseeing social services designed to uplift the region’s Black residents as president and CEO of the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts.

The Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts marked the end of one era and the beginning of another last week as they elected a new chair at the group’s 104th annual board meeting.

The Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts has chosen Rahsaan D. Hall as the 104-year-old organization’s new president and chief executive officer, beginning June 5.
