Lou Gossett Jr.: An appreciation
Louis Cameron Gossett Jr., a giant among men, stood 6-feet-4. A high school injury first turned him from the basketball court to the stage, sparking a long career on Broadway and the silver screen that included an Academy Award. Gossett died March 29 at a rehabilitation facility in Santa Monica, California, at age 87.
