Jackie Jenkins-Scott, the former president of Wheelock College and current interim executive director of Boston’s Women’s Fund, was recently honored by Eastern Bank’s philanthropic counterpart, The Eastern Bank Foundation, during their 30th anniversary celebration.

The search for Roxbury Community College’s next leader is over, as the school recently announced Jonathan K. Jefferson as its forthcoming president.

The New England Board of Higher Education honored Jackie Jenkins-Scott, president of Roxbury Community College, with its Massachusetts Excellence Award on May 10. The award recognizes President Jenkins-Scott’s decades of superior leadership in higher education and mission-driven institutions.

Roxbury Community College opened its doors in September 1973 after years of community activism, welcoming 400 students to a modest campus on Blue Hill Avenue.
