Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción

During Women’s History Month, women in many sectors and fields are celebrated. Yet, an often-overlooked segment are is women in the arts, particularly women artists of color.

For the Boston Housing Authority and Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción, a community development nonprofit, last Tuesday marked the completed renovation of 146 affordable housing units in the South End.

A new study from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, which surveyed members of the Greater Boston Puerto Rican community at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and one year in, found that community members who spoke less English in their day-to-day lives were more likely to report testing positive for the virus.
