BAMS Fest

Boston Art & Music Soul Festival (BAMS Fest), the only Boston music festival designed to specifically highlight Black and brown artists, is back this month with a lineup of national and local names featuring BJ the Chicago Kid, Rapsody, Xavier Omär, Elle Varner and many more.

Spring and summer in Boston are short and precious seasons. To take full advantage of the blossoms and warm temps, consider attending one of the diverse festivals taking place across Boston over the next few months.

The Boston Art & Music Soul Festival, or BAMS Fest, helped Bostonians celebrate Black Music Month by hosting its fifth annual event on June 22-24.

Chelsey Green will be performing music on stage at the BAMS Festival in Franklin Park on June 11. Green, who grew up in Houston, Texas, is a vocalist, violinist, composer and Associate Professor at Berklee College of Music who defies genres.

Paul Willis, who is performing onstage at the BAMS Festival in Franklin Park on June 11, is a musician, educator, artist and community organizer. With more energy than Con Edison and Eversource combined, the Boston resident focuses on bringing together seemingly disparate artistic, political and economic elements.

Amplify The Soul, which is taking place in lieu of the annual Boston Art & Music Soul (BAMS) Fest through August 13 features artists and musicians in a pre-recorded format on BAMS Fest’s YouTube channel every Friday at 8 p.m. from the Big Night Live stage in Boston.
