2024 election

Last week, I had the privilege of serving as a delegate from Massachusetts for the Democratic National Convention, where we nominated Vice President Kamala D. Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as the Democratic nominees for president and vice president. It was an electrifying experience.

Black voters heading to the polls later this year in Massachusetts will have the opportunity to weigh in on not only the 2024 presidential race — a rematch between incumbent President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump — but a contested race for the U.S. Senate seat held by Elizabeth Warren, at least six ballot questions, several contested legislative races and an rare race for an open court position.

Polls were clear before and after the 2022 midterm election. A large majority of Americans think abortion should be legal. More than any other issue, abortion rights brought people out to vote in the last election.
