Andrea Campbell made the jump from a little-known Boston city councilor to the Democratic nominee for attorney general in just six years.

After securing a judgement last Thursday ordering the release of redacted documents for a 2005 sexual assault case in which he was accused, City Councilor Ricardo Arroyo is claiming he’s been vindicated, citing a Boston Police Department finding that the allegations were, in an officer’s words, “unfounded.”

Sen. Sonia Chang-Diaz, who represents about half of Boston in the state Senate, has joined two other candidates in the 2022 race for Massachusetts governor.

Activists with the group Raise Up Massachusetts launched a series of organizing initiatives across the state to reach out to voters on the millionaires tax.
