The Town of Orleans selected Housing Assistance to develop the property into 14 affordable rental units.
The units will include 1-, 2-, and 3-bedrooms. Twelve 1- and 2-bedroom units are restricted for households earning up to 80% of the county median income. One 2-bedroom and one 3-bedroom unit will include project-based vouchers and be available to households earning up to 30% of the area median income. One unit will be fully handicapped accessible, and one is set up for visual or hearing-impaired residents.
Maximum income for 30% AMI units:
1 person, $28,700; 2-person, $32,800; 3-person, $36,900; 4-person, $41,000; 5-person, $44,300; 6-person, $47,600.
Maximum income for 80% AMI units:
1-person, $74,800; 2-person, $85,450; 3-person, 96,150; 4-person, $106,800; 5-person, $115,350; 6-person, $123,900
Household income must be within the maximum and minimum gross allowable income
limits. If an applicant is below the minimum but can substantiate the ability to pay the
rent. they are encouraged to apply. Income limits do not apply to subsidy holders.
