INVITATION TO BID

Unity Sports and Cultural Association, Dorchester, Massachusetts, the Awarding Authority, request bids for exterior repairs of the brick and concrete block building including complete replacement of existing membrane roofing system including water removal systems; masonry cleaning, repointing and masonry repairs; removal of masonry infill at windows and installation of new soundproof windows, at 10 Dunbar Street in Dorchester, Massachusetts.

The project is being partially funded with a grant from the City of Boston Community Preservation Act Funds. All work must be performed in accordance with the documents prepared by Building Conservation Associates, Inc. (10 Langley Road, Newton, MA 02459, 617.916.5661) and meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. State law prohibits discrimination. Awarding of this contract is subject to Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity guidelines. A copy of the bidding documents may be obtained after 9:00am on March 18, 2024 by emailing Lisa Harrington at BCA at lharrington@bcausa.com.

A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Unity Sports and Cultural Association, 10 Dunbar Street, Dorchester, MA on March 27th at 9:00am.

Bids shall be evaluated on the basis of price, previous experience with similar types of construction projects, ability to perform the work in a timely manner, and references. All bids must be emailed or delivered to the Restoration Consultant’s office at the above address prior to April 9th, 2024 at 4:00pm to be eligible for consideration. All grant funded work must be completed by April 11, 2025.
