SOLICITATION FOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES FOR SYSTEMWIDE PUMP ROOM UPGRADE PROJECT

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is soliciting Engineering Services for Systemwide Pump Room Upgrades. The Scope of Service(s) may include but is not limited to: design and implementation of various improvements to various pump rooms. General improvements may include civil, structural, electrical, architectural improvements; replacement of dysfunctional pumps; door replacement; SCADA installation; communications; environmental; and stakeholder engagement.

The scope of services will be authorized by phase. The first phase will include improvements to the following pump rooms: Church St, Garfield St, Gurney St, and Muddy River pump rooms. Additional phases may include additional pump rooms. The duration of this contract will be five (5) years, with up to two (2) options to extend for one (1) year each.

This project is expected to utilize Future Federal funding. The DBE participation goal for this project is 0% of the total amount authorized. The Authority strongly encourages the use of Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as prime consultants, sub-consultants and suppliers in all of its contracting opportunities.
