SOLICITATION FOR GENERAL ENGINEERING CONSULTING (GEC) SERVICES FOR SECURITY AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT IMPROVEMENTS

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATONS

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is soliciting a General Engineering Consulting (GEC) Services for Security and Emergency Management Improvements for the MBTA. The Scope of Service(s) may include but are not limited to: implementation, planning and design for construction of safety/security related enhancements associated with any Security and Emergency Management Services throughout the Authority. The scope of services will be authorized on a task order basis by phase. The conceptual level of design cost estimate for the proposed work is $3,000,000.00 per consultancy. The duration of this contract will be three years with two additional one year option years.

This project is expected to utilize Federal and non-federal funding. The DBE participation goal for this project is twelve percent (12%) of the total amount authorized. In addition, the Authority strongly encourages the use of Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as prime consultants, sub-consultants and suppliers in all of its contracting opportunities.
