SOLICITATION FOR CONSULTANT SERVICES

FEDERALLY-FUNDED PROJECTS

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is soliciting Engineering and Technical Support Consultancy Services for Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation. The amount of $3,000,000, with $1,000,000 available for each of the three consultants selected, has been budgeted for this project.

The Department of Energy and Environment is in need of on-call, task order-based climate change vulnerability assessment and adaptation services. Through task order contracts, services may include advice to and consultation with, the MBTA’s Director of Energy and Environment and Climate Change Resiliency Specialist on (1) a system-wide vulnerability assessment; (2) multidiscipline engineering services (i.e. mechanical, electrical, energy, civil, etc.) to design (and potentially construct) climate change resiliency measures for physical infrastructure, (3) policy and planning support for improving resiliency of the MBTA’s policies and administrative processes, (4) climate change risk and resiliency communications for both internal and external audiences, and (5) other activities that may assist the MBTA in building internal capacity to minimize climate change risk.

This contract will be Federally Funded. The DBE Participation Goal for this contract will be 1.0%.
