On Monday, June 5h on behalf of Mayor Wu and the City of Boston Neighborhood Jobs Trust, the Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development, a division of the Worker Empowerment Cabinet, released an open and competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) for services under the Neighborhood Jobs Trust (NJT). The RFP, which is focused on the life sciences field and related occupations, solicits proposals for job training services provided by eligible nonprofit organizations, and also solicits the creation of a workforce intermediary to bring together life sciences employers and community-based job training providers in Boston. Programs funded through the RFP will provide low and moderate income Boston residents with training that leads to quality employment. Download the RFP at boston.gov/departments/workforce-development/funding-opportunities. Information on the bidder’s conference and instructions for uploading a proposal may be found at the same link. Questions may be submitted in writing to sarah.soroui@boston.gov until July 14, 2023.
