Phase 1 Exterior Restoration at Salisbury House

INVITATION TO BID

Preservation Worcester, the Awarding Authority, requests bids from pre-selected contractors for the Phase 1 Exterior Restoration at Salisbury House, 61 Harvard Street, Worcester, MA, which is listed in the State and National Registers of Historic Places. The work generally consists of removal and replacement of the existing historic wood siding, decking, trim, gutter, copper flashing, and slate roofing, where indicated on the drawings.

The project is being partially funded with a grant from the Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund through the Massachusetts Historical Commission. All work must be performed in accordance with the documents prepared by Lamoureux Pagano Associates | Architects (LPA|A), 108 Grove Street, Suite 300, Worcester, MA 01605, tel. (508) 752-2831 and meet the Secretary of the Interior Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. State law prohibits discrimination. Awarding of the contract is subject to Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity guidelines.

A copy of the bidding documents may be obtained Monday, November 20, 2023, by emailing the architect at afurtado@lpaa.com.

Bids shall be evaluated on the basis of price, previous experience with similar types of construction projects, ability to perform the work in a timely manner, and references. All bids must be delivered or emailed to the architect’s office at the above address prior to 1:00 pm, Monday, December 18, 2023, to be eligible for consideration and all the grant-funded work must be completed by June 30, 2024.
