OLDER AMERICANS ACT FUNDING

The City of Boston Commission on Affairs of the Elderly/Area Agency on Aging Region VI invites all interested agencies serving Boston’s elderly to submit proposals for:

• Title III-B Support Services, Bid event EV00005459
• Title III-D Preventative Health, Evidence-Based Services Bid event EV00005459
• Title III-C Nutrition Services, Bid event EV00005460
• Title III-E Family Caregiver Support Services Bid event EV00005461

The purpose of the funding is to support a comprehensive health and social service system for Boston’s elders by ensuring good service, effective programming and quality care.

The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be made available at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, May 21, 2018 on the City’s purchasing website and Supplier Portal, www.boston.gov/procurement, and will be available until the proposal deadline. A Bidder’s Conference for Titles III-B, D and E will be held 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M on Monday, May 21, 2018 in BPDA Room 900, 9th Floor, at Boston City Hall. Another Bidder’s Conference for Title III-C Nutrition will be held 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. on Monday, May 21, 2018 in BPDA Room 900, 9th Floor, at Boston City Hall. All interested parties may attend the Bidder’s Conferences. Completed proposals must be submitted via the Supplier Portal or to the Area Agency on Aging no later than 12:00 P.M., Monday, June 18, 2018. All agencies will be notified of funding decisions by Tuesday, July 31, 2018 for start-up on Monday, October 1, 2018.

The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or any part or parts thereof, and to issue a contract as the Official deems to be in the best interests of the City. This contract/award shall be subject to the availability of an appropriation therefore. If sufficient funds are not appropriated for the contract/award in any fiscal year, the Official may cancel the contract. The issuing of this contract/award shall be subject to the approval of the Mayor of Boston.
