SOLICITATION FOR GENERAL ENGINEERING CONSULTANT SERVICE
FOR MBTA CONTRACT(S) NO. Z92PS98-99 – TRANSIT STATIONS AND
FACILITIES – OWNER’S REPRESENTATIVE SERVICES
REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) is soliciting Owner’s Representative Services for Transit Stations and Facilities Projects. The Scope of Service(s) may include but is not limited to: Architecture, Multidiscipline Engineering (i.e., vertical transportation, civil, traffic, structural, geotechnical, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection), Environmental, and Project Controls. The scope of services will be authorized on a task order basis by project. The construction cost estimate for the proposed new construction will vary but will be not less than $50 million. The duration of this contract will be five (5) years from the date of Notice to Proceed, with two (2) option periods of one (1) year each.
This project is expected to utilize federal and non-federal funding. The DBE participation goal for this project is forty-five percent (45%) of the total amount authorized. In addition, the Authority strongly encourages the use of Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as prime consultants, sub-consultants and suppliers in all of its contracting opportunities.
