SOLICITATION FOR ARCHITECTURE/ENGINEERING AND
DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE MBTA SYMPHONY STATION
IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
MBTA CONTRACT NO. A26PS02

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is soliciting Architecture/ Engineering and Design Services for the Symphony Station Improvements Project. The Scope of Service(s) may include but are not limited to: Multi-disciplinary Engineering (Vertical Transportation, Structural, Electrical; Mechanical, Civil and Geotechnical Engineering); Architecture; Code Analysis; Constructability Review; Permitting; Scheduling and Cost Estimating; Risk Analysis; Public Outreach and Coordination; Testing and Commissioning; Design Phase, Bid Phase, Construction Phase Services; and Project Close Out. The conceptual level construction cost estimate for this work is $42,500,000. The duration of this contract will be four (4) years.

This project is expected to utilize Federal and non-federal funding. The DBE participation goal for this project is twelve (12%) percent of the total amount authorized. In addition, the Authority strongly encourages the use of Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as prime consultants, sub-consultants and suppliers in all of its contracting opportunities.
