REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) is soliciting 15% through 100% Design Phase, and Bid Phase Services for the MBTA Arborway Bus Maintenance Facility. The MBTA reserves the right to amend the contract to include and Construction Phase Services at a later date.

The duration of this contract is five (5) years from the date of Notice to Proceed, with one (1) option period of one (1) year. The contract will be authorized by phase; initial authorization will be from 15-30% Design Phase.

MBTA intends to use Construction Manager At-Risk (CM@R) for this project and plan to hire CM@R firm in separate procurement by the time design reaches 30%.

This project is expected to utilize Federal and non-federal funding. The DBE participation goal for this project is 20% of the total amount authorized. In addition, the Authority strongly encourages the use of Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as prime consultants, sub-consultants and suppliers in all of its contracting opportunities.
