INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS AT GALLIVAN BOULEVARD (ROUTE 203) AND MORTON STREET

PURPOSE: The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public with a complete overview of the project, construction phasing and scheduling, and outlining impacts during construction.

PROJECT OUTLINE: The project consists of improving the safety and efficiency of Route 203 between West Selden Street and Gallivan Boulevard in the City of Boston. A new traffic signal will be introduced at the Morton Street and Gallivan Boulevard intersection along with minor curb-line modifications. Exclusive left turn lanes and protected turning phase will be provided along Route 203 at the West Selden intersection. Traffic signal interconnect will be implemented between Norfolk Street and Gallivan Boulevard. ADA/AAB compliant sidewalks and driveways will be constructed on both sides of Route 203, and designated bicycle lanes will be included within the project limits.
