SOLICITATION FOR General Engineering Consulting Services for Systemwide Urgent Inspection and Design Support
REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) is seeking to enter into a task-order based contract for urgent inspection and design services for MBTA infrastructure systemwide with qualified, multi-disciplined engineering firms exhibiting a proven depth of experience and technical expertise in the inspection, design and construction rehabilitation/replacement of commuter rail, freight, light and heavy rail transit, highway, pedestrian and utility bridges; other structures, traction power; signals; track; and other disciplines for a multimodal public transportation agency.
Engineering services are expected to be primarily structurally related. However, additional expertise may be required in other disciplines needed to address urgent infrastructure needs systemwide.
This project is expected to utilize Federal and non-federal funding. The DBE participation goal for this project is 20% of the total amount authorized. In addition, the Authority strongly encourages the use of Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as prime consultants, sub-consultants and suppliers in all of its contracting opportunities
