MASSACHUSETTS BAY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY
SOLICITATION FOR ENGINEERING AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR COMMUTER RAIL MULTI-MODE LOCOMOTIVE

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is soliciting Engineering and Project Management Professional Services for the Commuter Rail Multi-Mode Locomotive Project. The Scope of Service(s) may include but are not limited to: contractor selection RFP support; assessment of existing Commuter Rail infrastructure; design reviews, tests, and inspections; project management; configuration management; administration of warranty. The scope of services will be authorized on a task order basis by phase. The estimated total budget for this program will be provided during the negotiation process, after the receipt of the proposals. The estimated duration of this contract will be twelve (12) years.

This project is expected to utilize Federal and non-federal funding. The DBE participation goal for this project is 18% of the total amount authorized. In addition, the Authority strongly encourages the use of Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as prime consultants, sub-consultants and suppliers in all of its contracting opportunities.
