INVITATION FOR BIDS
The Boston Water and Sewer Commission, by its Executive Director, invite sealed bids from qualified firms to provide the following:
Contract No. 25-303-001: EMERGENCY REPAIRS TO WATER SERVICES, CITYWIDE 5% Bid Deposit Required. Bid Opening Date: NOVEMBER 07, 2024. Bid Opening Time: 10:00 A.M.
Bid documents may be obtained by downloading it from the BWSC Portal BIDNET DIRECT. https://www.bidnetdirect.com/bwsc.
Every bid must be: (A) Accompanied by a Bid Deposit, Certified Check, Treasurers or Cashiers Check or in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid price payable to and become the property of the Commission if the bid, after acceptance, is not carried out. In addition, a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials payment bond, each of a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of Massachusetts and satisfactory to the Executive Director, and each in the sum of 100% of the contract price must be submitted within the time specified in the contract document. (B) Submitted on Bid/Contract documents obtained from the Procurement Department. (C) Signed by the bidder. (D) Placed in a sealed envelope. (E) Filed at the Procurement Office at the above address prior to the Bid Opening Time and Date as stated in this advertisement.
The attention of all bidders is directed to the provisions of the Bid/Contract documents and specifically to the requirements for bid deposits, insurance and performance bonds as may be applicable.
The rate of wages paid in the work to be performed under the contract shall not be less the prevailing rate of wages in the schedule determined by the Department of Labor, Division of Occupational Safety of the Commonwealth, a copy of which schedule is annexed to the form of contract referred to herein.
The Executive Director reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Award of any contract is subject to the approval of the Board of Commissioners
