The Brooke Charter School, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from DCAMM Certified Bidders for the Brooke Charter School Phase 2B HVAC Upgrades & Associated Repairs, in accordance with the documents prepared by CSS Architects from Wakefield, Massachusetts.
The project consists of: HVAC demolition and replacement, associated structural reinforcement, roofing & flashing tie-ins, new fire-protection system, new act ceiling systems, plumbing, and electrical work at the Brooke Charter School, 190 Cummins Highway, Roslindale, MA 02131.
The total construction work is estimated to cost $8,000,000.
Bids are subject to M.G.L. c. 149 44A-J and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c. 149 26 to 27H inclusive.
General Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in General Building Construction. Filed Sib-Bidders must be DCAMM certified in their respective trades. All Bids must include a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Update Statement. General and File Sub-Bids Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount and made payable to Brooke Charter Schools.

General Bids to be received no later than 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 and publicly opened, forthwith online.
Filed Sub-bids for the trades listed below will be received no later than 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 01, 2024 and publicly opened, forthwith online.

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and site visit will be held at Brooke Charter School, 190 Cummings Highway, Roslindale, MA on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a walk through.
There is a plan deposit of $ 185/set (refundable, maximum of 2 sets) payable to BidDocs Online Inc. Deposits may be electronically paid or must be a certified or cashier’s check. Mailing fee is $50/set (non-fundable) for UPS Ground, payable to Bid Docs Online Inc. (electronically or certified or cashier’s check).
