2018 Landscaping and Grass Cutting Services BPDA

Invitation to Bid: Invitations for bids (“IFB”) for the performance of the following work – 2018 Landscaping and Grass Cutting Services Program at miscellaneous vacant parcels across the City of Boston owned by the Boston Redevelopment Agency (“BRA”) d/b/a Boston Planning & Development Agency (“BPDA”).

The BPDA invites sealed IFB for the performance of the work generally described in the attached documents.

Scope of Services: Furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supplies and services for landscape and grass cutting for BPDA-owned parcels across the City of Boston. Work will include grass/weed cutting, fence line weed and growth control, and sidewalk weed control in front of the BPDA-owned parcels. Removal of small tree limbs, brush, and or bamboo growth, and any litter/debris as needed for parcels. Cuts to the BPDA parcels will occur every two weeks and continue on a rotating basis per the cutting season. Priority may be given to certain parcels as needed or time sensitive situations. The contract will be awarded to the responsible and eligible bidder with the lowest bid amount.

Estimated Contract Amount: Not to exceed $75,000 for the 2018 season from May 1, 2018 through November 30, 2018, with two (2) seasonal extension options, held by and exercised at the discretion of the BPDA. If both options are exercised by the BPDA, the total contract award under this IFB shall not exceed Two Hundred and Twenty Five Thousand Dollars ($225,000.00).

Prospective bidders are invited to attend an onsite meeting at 22 Drydock, 2nd floor conference room, Boston MA, 02210 for a pre-bid conference on Monday April 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.

Time and Place for Filling Bids: All responses shall be filed no later than Monday, April 9, 2018 at 2:00 pm to Boston City Hall, One City Hall Square, Room 910, Boston, MA 02201 Attn: Teresa Polhemus, Secretary at which time they shall be publicly opened and read aloud. The award of the resulting contract is subject to the approval of the BPDA Board.

The BPDA reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in the bidding or to reject any and all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
