Mukiya (Cheryl) Baker-Gomez has gotten her wings. Born and raised in the City of Boston (particularly the Roxbury area), she departed on Saturday, June 10, 2023 of natural causes. There will be a public walk-through wake at 12th Baptist Church in Roxbury (160 Warren Street) from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21. Mukiya leaves to cherish her memory: her husband of 49 years, Kevin; her children, Talisha (Torria) and Kenyatta (Julie); her sisters, Dadizi Baker, Karyn Baker-Harris (Frank), Constance Curry, and Pamela Keel (Ronn); her brothers, Gregory Baker and Charles Baker (Myrna); her grandchildren, Tai-Lia Jackson, Tori Jackson, Xavier Lawrence Cordeiro-Gomez, and Ethan Quinn Cordeiro-Gomez; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and many cousins and friends.
