David W. Roberts, 79, a native of Boston and long-time neighborhood activist for the unhoused, handyman to the community, and a passionate affordable housing advocate, died suddenly Monday, August 26th at his home in Dorchester. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Theresa ‘Kris’ Anderson; brothers Charles, and Lawrence; sisters Betty, Rosetha, Donna, Helen and Marlene and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

David was known throughout the community as “Mr. Fix-It”.  When he wasn’t helping someone fix something, he was cooking and feeding them.
