Beloved Boston Native
Dania Michelle Pouncy was born in Boston, Massachusetts on Sunday, June 1, 1975 to Marilyn Drayton Taylor and Isiah George. Dania was proud that she was born on her maternal grandfather Eddie “Daddy Boog” Drayton, Sr.’s birthday. She peacefully departed this life on Saturday, October 21, 2023.
Dania attended William Monroe Trotter Elementary School, Phyllis Wheatley Middle School, Madison Park High School, earned her GED from Liberty High School, and was studying at Southern New Hampshire University working towards a degree in Business. She received her degree posthumously.
Dania dedicated her professional life to roles in the public services industry. She was employed as a bus operator for the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) for the past six years, and previously worked as a Lead Billing Specialist at New England Baptist Hospital for 18 years.
She married the love of her life, Milton Pouncy, in July 2014. She was a loving mother to Reginald (1995) and Rhemie (2000). Dania was an adoring grandmother to Charli Rose (2021), and a mother-figure for her nieces and nephews.
She was a friendly, talkative, generous, and fun-loving spirit who was always willing to listen and give advice. She enjoyed family gatherings, fashion, watching game shows, cooking, sports, and traveling. She was loved by many.
Dania leaves to mourn her, husband Milton, son Reginald, daughter Rhemie, granddaughter Charli Rose, parents Marilyn and Isiah (Donna), sister Alisa, brothers Sean (Maritza), Isiah (Alyssia), Rashaad, and Mark; stepchildren Milton, Marquis, Malik, Demetriana, and Andre; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
