Experimental College — Visiting Lecturers Fall 2025
Up to fifteen courses will be chosen from a very competitive pool. ExCollege courses are three-credit, letter-graded electives. Classes meet in the evening, once a week, for a total of 2.5 contact hours per week, over thirteen teaching weeks. Our courses are taught in a classroom setting on the Tufts Medford/Somerville campus. Fall 2025 courses will be offered in-person. Selected applicants may be asked to adjust their proposed syllabi as necessary to meet ExCollege and university guidelines.
Stipend: $5,500.00 for the semester, whether taught individually or team-taught.
The semester will begin on September 2, 2025. The last day of classes is December 8, 2025.
All offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a background check.
You will be asked to upload four documents: a teaching statement, course proposal (with course description and bio), syllabus, and CV or resume.
You will also be asked to include a separate 200-word version of your course description and bio which will be used to market your course to students.
The deadline to apply is: Monday, January 6, 2025.
