Boston Scenes: Boston Arts Academy Honors Celebration raises $1.35 million
Boston Arts Academy Foundation hosted its annual BAA Honors celebration on Saturday, May 4 to support Boston Arts Academy, Boston’s only public high school for the visual and performing arts, specifically the school’s STEAM program, which infuses arts across subjects in science, technology, engineering and math. Nearly 450 guests attended the sold-out creative black-tie event at the Rose Kennedy Ballroom, InterContinental Boston, which honored artists, arts enthusiasts and advocates, and featured dinner, student performances, a live auction and dancing. The event raised $1.35 million, including a $500,000 gift towards a multi-faceted partnership over five years from The Red Sox Foundation and Fenway Music Company.
