A spirited Party with A Purpose was held at Hibernian Hall on Dec. 3rd to celebrate community and launch of the new book “Portraits of Purpose: A Tribute to Leadership” by photojournalist, Don West with profiles written by Kenneth J. Cooper. The book features individuals from all facets of professional and civic life—veteran, newly emerging, unsung heroes and international renown figures– whose work has advanced the pursuit of equity and justice in these times. The event MC’d by Jose Masso from WBUR’s Con Salsa! with music by the Fulani Haynes Jazz Collaborative was highlighted with “Acts of Art and Social Commentary.” presented by local artists. The event was hosted by Eastern Bank, a partner in this unique book project.
