Boston Scenes 10-17-19: Coltrane concert

For the first time in 42 years, the annual John Coltrane memorial concert was held at Norheastern’s Blackman Auditorium without co-founder Leonard Brown. Among those who gathered for the concert: Eric Jackson, host of Eric in the Evening and concert co-host; Cheryl Brown, wife of Leonard Brown; Omrao Brown, son of Leonard and Cheryl Brown; Pauline Bilsky, president of JazzBoston; José Massó, host of Con Salsa, WBUR, and concert co-host.
