At-large Boston City Councilor Ayanna Pressley, District 4 Councilor Andrea Campbell and District 7 Councilor Tito Jackson co-sponsored the Boston City Council’s Annual Black History Month Celebration on Wednesday, February 22nd from 6 – 8 pm at the Bruce C. Bolling Municipal Building, honoring black Boston families including the Cruzes, Guscotts, Janeys, Abdal-Kallaqs, Hicks, Bynoes, Yanceys, Owens and Millers, Bollings, Redds and Kings.
Chief of Civic Engagement Jerome Smith, Alejandra St. Guillen, director of the Mayor’s Office for Immigrant Advancement and Mayor Martin Walsh address concerns and answer questions at the Islamic Center of Boston during a town hall-style meeting focusing on issues facing the immigrant community of Boston.
