What the Heck Is Biotech?

TACC, LabCentral Ignite, and MassBioEd invite you to join us for What the Heck is Biotech?, a free career awareness workshop for those looking to learn more about the biotech industry and careers

Learn what biotech is about, hear from industry professionals as they share their stories and journeys in biotechexperience life as a scientist for an hour, and discover what potential career opportunities exist for you, your family, and friends.

Childcare (for children ages 0-10) and dinner (from Fresh Food Generation) provided.

WHEN: Wednesday, May 31, 5:30PM-7:30PM

WHERE: Roxbury Community College, Building 3, 1234 Columbus Avenue, Roxbury, MA 02120

WHO: Roxbury, Dorchester, Mattapan, and Hyde Park residents. Adults looking for new career opportunities and young adults age 16+.

TICKETS: The workshop is free. Advance registration required. Reserve your free spot using this link.

The workshop schedule will be:

  • 5:30PM: Welcome + Dinner
  • 6PM-6:30PM: What the Heck is Biotech? Presentation
  • 6:30PM-6:45PM: Industry Panel
  • 6:45PM-7:30PM: Lab Activity
