Volunteer Tutor Information Session

Join a Literations Information Session to learn more about becoming a tutor and mentor for Boston early elementary students.

70% of students in our communities are not reading at grade level.

You can help change that.

Literations works with Boston Public Schools and Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston to support 1st-4th graders become strong readers, develop confidence, and unleash their potential in the classroom and beyond. Our volunteer reading tutors work one-on-one with students to strengthen their skills and develop a love of reading. Literations students end the school year reading on average 1.5 grade levels higher.
We are looking for volunteers to tutor at one of our 12 Boston locations during the 2023-24 school year in Grove Hall, Roxbury, Dorchester, Mattapan, South End, South Boston, West Roxbury, and Allston/Brighton.
Please attend an Information Session at a local Boston Library branch to learn more!
Information Sessions scheduled throughout the summer. Register on the Literations website. Go to https://www.literations.org/volunteer to learn more.
