Where: 184 Dudley Street - 3rd Floor, Roxbury, MA
Ages allowed: All Ages

Since its birth in 1999, VerBaLizAtiOn has been a staple in the Black and poetry community for over a decade, becoming the current longest-running open mic gathering in Boston. Started on Veteran’s Day at a cafe in Dorchester (Codman Square), VerB has picked up from its predecessors and provided an open space for poets/spoken word artists, lyricists, vocalists and even dancers. Relocating from venue to venue for many years, its continuation of open mic-ism leads into reaching that special milestone of 25 years. Please join us in celebrating this moment with a dose of poetry, rhyme, song and much more. In the past, VerBaLizAtiOn have been presenting one headliner to feature whether it’s a regular session or an anniversary. This time around, we’ve decided to bring a collective of previous performers who have blessed the mic during VerB’s longevity.
