“Sip & Support” Community Service Fundraiser
Two Community Service Initiative
Students Helping Students -100 Backpacks for Students in Puerto Rico
and
Heading Home/Up and Out, transitioning a family from a shelter to home
Mother Caroline Academy’s 7th-grade students and Class of 2017 Alums exhibiting their leadership skills as they are supported by parent alum, Ms. Celeste Hayden, and grandparent alum, Ms. Angela Williams-Mitchell in their two most recent civic engagement initiatives. Students Helping Students 100 Backpack for Students in Puerto Rico is a “Drive” to collect monetary donations, school supplies, personal care products and snacks for K-12 students in Puerto Rico. Heading Home/Up and Out is the second community service initiative our students and alums have become involved in this year. Heading Home/Up and Out transitions, a family from a shelter into a ready to move-in and live-in apartment, fully outfitted with furniture, household accessories and cabinets and refrigerator stocked with food.
In support of our students’ success of these initiatives, we, the parent and grandparent alums are hosting a “Sip & Support” fundraiser on Saturday, June 16, 2018, on the 6th floor of the Bruce Bolling Building from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Join us in support of these two initiatives that help uplift the lives of others.
There is NO cover charge. We ask that you join us to “Sip & Support” these initiatives with the giving/donating of goods, services, and monetary gifts.
