Sickle Cell Fighters of Massachusetts Blood Drives
Sickle Cell disease is the most common genetic blood disorder in the US and affects over 100,000 patients each year. In order to meet the demand for blood products to this group we will need to triple the number of African American blood donors currently engaged, and eliminate the gap in our ability to meet the need for CEK- units from African Americans for hospitals to treat patients with Sickle Cell Disease.
