Renowned stage director Anne Bogart returns to Boston to direct Boston Lyric Opera’s production of The Handmaid’s Tale. She sits down with WGBH’s Jared Bowen, host of the weekly television series Open Studio, to discuss this politically timely opera – which will be staged in a gymnasium that recalls the infamous Red Center from Margaret Atwood’s dystopian novel – and to reflect on her wide-ranging theater and opera career.
After the event, continue the conversation during a reception with light appetizers and cash bar.
