Move4Farms
Join us for Boston Farms’ 4th Annual Move4Farms NEXT Sunday October 13th from 10am-12pm for our farm tours and 12-3pm. This family-friendly move-a-thon and community festival celebrates and supports our Boston’s growing Black and Brown farming community through movement in #Dorchester, #Mattapan, and #Roxbury.
The day starts off with a guided tour of Boston Farms’ current and future farm sites. Sign up here to walk, run, or bike through each of the farms at bit.ly/move4farms.
Hosted at our Tommy’s Rock Farm at 3 Akron Street, Roxbury, (between Alpine Street and Akron Street) which is closed to vehicular traffic for the duration of the festival.
This event features:
- Stretch, dance, move with SoulFire Movement
- Live music from King of Hearts Band (@Therealsingofficial)
- Amazing Haitian food from Gourmet Kreyol food truck
- Artisan popsicles by Popsicools
- The City’s Boston Water and Sewer Commission #H2Go water trailer on site with Boston Farms water bottles for everyone
- Support #blackowned businesses
- Lawn games and more!
Parking is limited; biking, walking, and taking Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority – MBTA to the event is highly encouraged!
