John Wilson and Black Figurative Tradition in American Art

Join us at the Dillaway-Thomas House at Roxbury Heritage State Park for this enlightening talk about Roxbury native John Wilson, renowned printmaker and sculptor! Edmund Barry Gaither, director and curator at the Museum of the National Center of Afro-American Artists, will explore the powerful role that Wilson’s art played in the formation of Black figurative art within American art history.

The Dillaway-Thomas House is open Wednesday-Sunday, 10:00am-5:00pm. Enjoy the park grounds 7 days a week, 9:00am-5:30pm. All programs are FREE.
