Gospel Recording Artist Byron Cage – St. Paul AME Church Celebrating 145 Years
St. Paul AME Church is celebrating 145 years and in honor of their anniversary gospel recording artist Byron Cage is performing at the historical Strand Theatre on Saturday, October 27th at 7:00 PM
St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church was founded by activist Richard Allen in 1873. The AME Church was distinguished by its commitment to political agitation and social activism in the United States and throughout the African diaspora. Pastor Ellis Washington is the presiding overseer of the church for the last five years, in which the ministry has been committed to growing through knowing. “The church is celebrating a significant milestone and this is a time to rejoice. We are committed to expanding our reach across the country and working to eliminate social injustice. We are looking forward to the inspirational music of Byron Cage”, said Pastor Washington.
