Gospel Fest at BLS

The Boston Latin School Gospel Choir hosts the first ever Gospel Fest at BLS! This two-day festival culminates in a jubilant concert on Saturday night featuring talented local young people singing traditional & contemporary gospel music and Spirituals. Renowned guest clinician Bishop Chantel Wright will conduct the Gospel Fest Mass Choir. Bishop Wright is the founder of the Songs of Solomon Inspirational Ensemble of Harlem, and choral conductor at NYU.

  • Special performances by the Boston Latin School Gospel Choir, The Boston Arts Academy Spirituals Ensemble, God’s Chosen (of Gordon College) and One Accord Young Adult Choir (of Mission Church, Somerville)
  • Instrumental features by the Gospel Fest Orchestra
  • Participating students attend several local schools including Boston Latin School, Boston Arts Academy, English High School, Haley Pilot K-8, Gordon College, Berklee College of Music

General admission is free and the concert is open to the public.

This event is sponsored by the Boston Latin School Fine and Performing Arts Department. If you’d like to show your support for this type of programming at Boston Latin School, donations are welcome and appreciated, even if you cannot attend.
