From Ancestors to Descendants: A Quarter Century of Connecting Black Families

The Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society – New England Chapter, Inc., invites you to join our celebration of twenty-five years as an organization. Over many years AAHGS-NE has supported family history, genealogy, and cultural diversity in our community. The keynote speaker is Dr. Elizabeth Clark-Lewis, one of the founding members of AAHGS, founded in Washington DC in 1977. She is a Professor of History and Director of the Public History Program at Howard University. She has written about slavery, emancipation and domestic labor among other topics, especially in the Washington DC area. There will be music and raffle prizes and memories to share. This is a virtual event. Donation: $25.00. Please go to https://www.eventbrite.com/e/from-ancestors-to-descendants-tickets-259791552527 to register.
