Coils to Locs Women of Color with Cancer and Cancer Survivors Health, Wellness and Beauty Group is a safe space to engage in topics related to health, wellness, and beauty through the current and post-Cancer journey. The workshops cover topics such as mindfulness, makeup tips, holistic health, and more. The Health Wellness & Beauty Group is open to anyone touched by Cancer and their caretakers/supporters.
This month’s topic- Acupuncture Can Help! Relieve Cancer Treatment Side Effects and Stress with Acupuncture and Acupressure is presented by Oren “Ren” Pilinger a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist who co-founded Hyde Park’s community acupuncture clinic, Boston Acupuncture Project (BAP) in 2018. BAP’s mission is to provide affordable and accessible acupuncture in a group setting, Chinese herbal medicine, and other forms of holistic healthcare This is a great opportunity to meet other women touched by cancer and their supporters in a fun, interactive environment.
Coils to Locs Women of Color with Cancer and Cancer Survivors Health, Wellness and Beauty Group also welcomes caretakers/supporters of women on their Cancer journey and Cancer survivors. It is hosted by Dianne Austin, Co-Founder of Coils to Locs, (Coils to Locs) a natural hairstyle medical wig distributor of ethnically inspired medical wigs found at many locations across the country including at Massachusetts General Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and Windows of Hope at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital.
