Boston Book Festival 2021

The Boston Book Festival returns on October 16-23 for a week filled with virtual sessions to engage and delight readers of all ages. The 125+ authors include novelists Mateo Askaripour, Zakiya Dalilah Harris, Alyssa Cole, and P. Djèlí Clark, historians Tiya Miles and Tamara Payne, poet Tracy K. Smith, memoirist George M. Johnson, children’s book creators Ekua Holmes and Tricia Elam Walker, and many more. Local celebrity presenters/hosts include Lee Pelton, Candelaria Silva, Cagen Luse, Kelley Chunn, Lanelle Sneed, and Rep. Liz Miranda. Don’t miss three StoryWalks for children (including one in Nubian Square), a screening of the documentary film A Reckoning in Boston, and more. Registration is now open for all virtual sessions October 16-23, the kickoff keynote on October 15, and a “BBF Bonus Day” on October 24. While we may not gather in person in Copley Square and Nubian Square again this year, we will still gather to celebrate reading and the power of words.
